Camping is a chance to change world!
Camping is an excellent chance to reach a whole generation:
- easy to find new friends
- enables the participants to reconsider their life choices
- possibility to network with new people
- break for the everyday life
- chance for rehabilitation, practicing sports, enjoying clean nature
Current young generation lives in a totally different world what comes to leisure time and available entertaiment methods. Excessive use of mobile devices does not harm only social life of the user, but also affects negatively on mental and intellectual development.
In addition to that, present young generation is facing a real different world than earlier generations did. Everything is available: internet provides all the possible information, real time communication with any person is possible at any time, food and other daily assets can be found in the closest market. World has got small in a way, but many children lack parent who is present and ready to advise how to use the available things. Read more about the campers' needs.
Camping responds to the needs of a child or a youth. Yes, it does, if it is planned to meet the needs of campers. And planning a camp that way is not nuclear physics, it is more about the attitude how you do it, not so much what you do. Are the camp activities done ”because they are fun and the kids like them” or are the real, deeper needs considered? One may do the same thing a better way.
Christian camping
We do christian camping. For us it means that we care about other people as much as we care about ourselves. We serve and care about the campers because we love them. We do not try to convert someone, but we prefer to live as example. We hope that our faith and beliefs can be seen in the the way we live. Of course, we read and teach bible, pray for the food, share experiences of how we felt God, but the decision to believe God must be made the person itself without any pressure from other people.
Our experience of camping is largely based on camps that organised for russian orphan youth for 10 years, from 2006 – 2015. With those youth we learned how to face big challenges. Read more about the Ark -camps.
